Hon. George is a Recipient of the John Lewis Justice Awards

 

On Sunday, October 11, 2020, Hon. Jackson K. George, Jr. Honorary Consul of the Republic of Liberian in Minnesota, became the first Liberian and first African to received Congressman, John Lewis Justice Awards in Minnesota. The organizers of the awards, Minnesota Acts Now, (Bishop Harden Smith) presented the awards to distinct individuals in the country who have worked hard in advoking for justice and equality in the country.

The program which took place at the Shiloh Temple in Minneapolis, brought together members of the community to witness recipients receiving their awards. Those receiving awards included, Bishop Richard Howell, Rev. Dr. Alphonse Reef, Rev. Thomas Vanleer, Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison, Valerie Castle, Spike Moss, Irma Johnson, Tyrone Terrill, and John Thompson.
